# Product Description
Our Compatible HPE Aruba R8M44A HPE 400GbE QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD 0.5m Direct Attach Copper Cable is based on our 400G-PDAC-QSFP-DD-0.5 product, which has the same parameters and is manufactured in accordance with the same industry standards as its OEM counterpart. HPE compatible 400GbE QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD 0.5m Direct Attach Copper Cable is equipped with MSA standard QSFP-DD compatible transceiver assembly at each end of cable and uses Copper Twinax Cable in between the assembly unit. This cable is designed for operation in standard temperature networking environments ranging from 0°-70°C. As passive 400G DAC do not support any electrical transmission signal boosting on regeneration, length of 400G DAC is limited up to 3 meters, which is enough to support 400G connections within same or neighboring equipment racks. 400G DAC supports 8 separate fully duplex copper data lanes, capable of 28 Gbps NRZ or 56 Gbps PAM4 with aggregated thoughput 212.5-425 Gbps and such applications as 400G Ethernet (412.5Gbps), 200G Ethernet (206.25Gbps), InfiniBand EDR (100Gbps), InfiniBand HDR (200Gbps) . Most popular applica-tions of 400G DAC are cost effective close range interconnections within equipment room of telecom operators or data centers, intercon-necting LAN applications with speeds up to 400G.
Our Compatible HPE Aruba R8M44A Cable is CE/RoHS certified, it meets product safety standards, and is compliant with QS-FP-DD Multi Source Agreement (MSA) and IEEE 802.3bs and IEEE 802.3by specification.
