Our EDGEOPTIC 400G-QSFP-DD-500 is a multi-vendor compatible 400GBASE-DR4 QSFP-DD optical transceiver module designed for high-capacity 400 Gigabit Ethernet applications utilizing parallel single-mode fiber architecture. The 400G-QSFP-DD-500 module employs 4-lane PSM4 (Parallel Single Mode 4) technology operating at 1310 nm wavelength, with each lane transmitting at 106.25 Gbps using PAM4 modulation to achieve an aggregate data rate of 425 Gbps. This parallel fiber approach delivers maximum bandwidth efficiency for short-reach data center interconnects utilizing MPO-based cabling infrastructure.
Our 400GBASE-DR4 QSFP-DD transceiver utilizes EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) transmitters for each of the four parallel lanes, providing precise optical characteristics required for high-speed PAM4 transmission. The receiver section incorporates PIN photodiodes optimized for 1310 nm operation across all lanes. The module ensures a 3 dB guaranteed optical link budget, supporting transmission distances up to 500 meters over standard single-mode fiber.
