21-Channel Hybrid CWDM/LWDM Dual Fiber Mux/Demux 1U Rack Description
DHMD-21 is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series and supports 21 channel interconnection over double fiber using a hybrid wavelength plan: 9 CWDM channels in the 1331-1571nm range from ITU-T G.694.2 grid and 12 LWDM (LAN-WDM) channels in the 1269-1318nm range. This Hybrid CWDM/LWDM MUX/DEMUX is a 1U unit deployed in a standard 19-inch telecom sub-rack, is simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. The unit operates within -5 to 70°C temperature range with LC/UPC duplex connectors.
DHMD-21 is designed for deployment in the main site and is used together with Industrial DCMD-9I deployed in the middle site and DLMD-12I deployed in the far-end site. Both Industrial DCMD-9I and DLMD-12I are rated for harsh outdoor environments. This configuration enables scalable multi-site fronthaul topology. DHMD-21 uses Compact CWDM and LWDM TFF (thin-film filter) technology with band skip filters to achieve 4.0 dB insertion loss. The unit provides CWDM passband of ±7.5nm and LWDM passband of ±1.5nm, with 30 dB adjacent channel isolation, and includes a monitor port for easy troubleshooting without downtime.
xWDM filters are data rate and line protocol neutral, used in combination with colored optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use cases for DHMD-21 filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter 32/16/8G Fiber Channel connections. The unit is CE and RoHS certified.
