4-Port SMF MPO-to-LC Junction Box Industrial Description
MSU-S4I is a 12-Core MPO to 4x Duplex LC PSM4 (Parallel Single Mode 4-channel) Fiber Optical Junction Box designed for 1310nm wavelength applications. The unit features a 12-Core MPO/MTP Male connector and splits the MPO/MTP signal into 4x duplex LC ports for parallel single-mode optics breakout. Typical use case for MSU-S4I Optical Junction Box is to split 100G/40G PSM4 signal into 4x25G or 4x10G 1310nm signals, for example when using 100G-QSFP28-2 or 40G-QSFP-11 PSM4 optical modules in the main site and 25G-SFP28-10I or 10G-SFP-10I on the far-end site.
This industrial-grade unit is designed for harsh outdoor environments supporting IP65 water and dust resistance, -40 to 85°C industrial temperature range, telecom pole or wall installation options, and comes with ODVA MPO/MTP and duplex LC connectors for easy and reliable fiber connection. The unit is small in size, light in weight, simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. MSU-S4I added insertion loss to the connection is 0.8 dB.
Typical use cases for MSU-S4I Optical Junction Box are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 100G/40G to 4x25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter Fiber Channel connections.
