Our 4-Channel Single Fiber CCWDM Mux/Demux Side B delivers compact outdoor single-fiber wavelength management for 5G fronthaul. Supporting 25G-ready operation across ITU-T G.694.2 channels (1271-1371nm and 1471-1571nm), this IP65-rated passive module provides below 1.6 dB insertion loss with ODVA LC/UPC connectors. Pair with Side A for bidirectional connectivity.

4-Channel Single Fiber CCWDM Mux/Demux IP65 Outdoor (Side B) Description

SCMD-4BI is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series and supports 4 bidirectional channel interconnection over single fiber using 8 CCWDM optical channels in the 1331-1571nm wavelength range from ITU-T G.694.2 grid with 20nm channel spacing and ±7.5nm passband. This industrial-grade BiDi unit is designed for harsh outdoor environments supporting IP65 water and dust resistance, -40 to 85°C industrial temperature range, telecom pole or wall installation options, and comes with ODVA LC/UPC duplex connectors for easy and reliable fiber connection.

The unit is small in size, light in weight, simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. SCMD-4BI is designed for deployment in the middle site and is connected to SHMD-10A deployed in the main site. Additionally, through the SCMD-4BI upgrade port, SLMD-6BI far-end site can be connected to the SHMD-10A, enabling single-fiber bus network topology realization. SCMD-4BI uses Compact CWDM filter technology and provides 1.6 dB insertion loss for service ports and upgrade port, with 30 dB adjacent channel isolation and 45 dB non-adjacent channel isolation.

xWDM filters are data rate and line protocol neutral, used in combination with colored BiDi optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use cases for SCMD-4BI filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter 32/16/8G Fiber Channel connections. The unit is CE and RoHS certified.
