Our 6-Channel Single Fiber CCWDM Mux/Demux Side B delivers rugged outdoor single-fiber wavelength management for 5G fronthaul. Supporting 25G-ready operation across ITU-T G.694.2 channels (1271-1371nm and 1471-1571nm), this IP65-rated passive module provides below 1.7 dB insertion loss with ODVA LC/UPC connectors. Pair with Side A for bidirectional connectivity.

6-Channel Single Fiber CCWDM Mux/Demux IP65 Outdoor (Side B) Description
SCMD-6BI is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series and supports 6 bidirectional CCWDM channel interconnection over single fiber using 12 optical channels in the 1271-1371nm and 1471-1571nm wavelength bands from ITU-T G.694.2 grid. This industrial-grade BiDi unit is designed for harsh outdoor environments supporting IP65 water and dust resistance, -40 to 85°C industrial temperature range, telecom pole or wall installation options, and comes with ODVA LC/UPC connectors for easy and reliable fiber connection.
The unit is small in size, light in weight, simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. Industrial B-side SCMD-6BI is designed to work together with Industrial A-side SCMD-6AI. This solution is ideal for scenarios where single-fiber passive CWDM connections on both sides of the link are deployed in harsh outdoor environments. SCMD-6BI uses Compact CWDM filter technology with 20nm channel spacing and provides 1.9 dB insertion loss with 30 dB adjacent channel isolation and 45 dB non-adjacent channel isolation.
xWDM filters are data rate and line protocol neutral, used in combination with colored BiDi optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use cases for SCMD-6BI filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter 32/16/8G Fiber Channel connections.
