Our 10-Channel Hybrid CWDM/LWDM Single Fiber Mux/Demux Side A enables fiber-efficient high-density 5G fronthaul wavelength management. Combining 10 CWDM channels (1331-1571nm) with 12 LWDM channels (1269.23-1318.35nm), this 25G-ready passive LGX module provides below 4 dB insertion loss with monitor port. Pair with Side B for bidirectional single-fiber connectivity.

10-Ch Hybrid CWDM/LWDM Single Fiber Mux/Demux LGX (Side A) Description
SHMD-10A is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series and supports 10 bidirectional channel interconnection over single fiber using 22 optical channels: 8 CWDM wavelengths in the 1331-1571nm range from ITU-T G.694.2 grid and 12 LWDM (LAN-WDM) wavelengths in the 1269-1318nm range. This BiDi Hybrid CWDM/LWDM MUX/DEMUX is a LGX type B module installed in standard 19-inch 1U telecom sub-rack, is simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. The unit operates within -5 to 70°C temperature range with LC/UPC duplex connectors.
SHMD-10A is designed for deployment in the main site and is used together with Industrial SCMD-4BI deployed in the middle site and SLMD-6BI deployed in the far-end site. Both Industrial SCMD-4BI and SLMD-6BI are rated for harsh outdoor environments. This configuration enables single-fiber scalable multi-site fronthaul topology. SHMD-10A uses Compact CWDM and LWDM TFF (thin-film filter) technology with band skip filters to achieve 4.0 dB insertion loss. The unit provides CWDM passband of ±7.5nm and LWDM passband of ±1.5nm, and includes a monitor port for easy troubleshooting without downtime.
xWDM filters are data rate and line protocol neutral, used in combination with colored BiDi optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use cases for SHMD-10A filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter 32/16/8G Fiber Channel connections. The unit is CE and RoHS certified.
