Supporting 25G-ready operation across LWDM channels (1269.23-1318.35nm), this IP65-rated passive TFF module provides below 3 dB insertion loss with ODVA LC/UPC connectors. Pair with Side A module for complete bidirectional single-fiber connectivity.

6-Channel Single Fiber LWDM Mux/Demux IP65 Outdoor (Side B) Description
SLMD-6BI is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series and supports 6 bidirectional channel interconnection over single fiber using 12 LWDM (LAN-WDM) optical channels in the 1269-1318nm wavelength range with 4.5nm channel spacing and ±1.5nm passband. This industrial-grade BiDi unit is designed for harsh outdoor environments supporting IP65 water and dust resistance, -40 to 85°C industrial temperature range, telecom pole or wall installation options, and comes with ODVA LC/UPC connectors for easy and reliable fiber connection.
The unit is small in size, light in weight, simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance, and is fully passive - no power supply or cooling required. SLMD-6BI is designed for deployment in the far-end site and is used together in a scenario with SHMD-10A deployed in the main site and Industrial SCMD-4BI deployed in the middle site. SLMD-6BI connects to SHMD-10A through the SCMD-4BI upgrade port, enabling single-fiber scalable bus network topology. SLMD-6BI uses TFF (thin-film filter) technology with band skip filters and provides 3 dB insertion loss with 30 dB adjacent channel isolation and 45 dB non-adjacent channel isolation.
xWDM filters are data rate and line protocol neutral, used in combination with colored BiDi optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use cases for SLMD-6BI filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection using CPRI/eCPRI protocol, Enterprise Network 25G/10G Ethernet links, or Datacenter 32/16/8G Fiber Channel connections. The unit is CE and RoHS certified.
