EdgeOptic's 1061701851-01 compatible is an ADVA-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. The 1061701851-01 ordering code covers an SFP+ optic running 10GBASE-LR at 1310 nm across single-mode fiber, with a specified reach of 10 km. EdgeOptic writes ADVA coding into the module EEPROM, which is what lets ADVA equipment that accepts 10G SFP+ optics identify the part on insertion.

Compliance follows IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 for the LR optical interface, with SFF-8431 and SFF-8432 covering the SFP+ electrical and mechanical interface. The supported rate window of 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps takes in 10G Ethernet at 10.31 Gbps, Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps and STM-64 at 9.95 Gbps, and the host port decides which rate is active.

Transmit power from the 1310 nm DFB laser falls between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm. On the receive side, a PIN photodiode holds sensitivity to −14.5 dBm and reaches its overload point at 0 dBm. A 6 dB link budget covers the 10 km duplex single-mode span. LC connectors terminate the fiber. Diagnostics follow SFF-8472, giving the host live readings for optical power, case temperature, supply rail and laser bias. Power comes from a single +3.3 V supply and the case is rated 0 to 70 °C.
