EdgeOptic's SFP-XSM-LC-80K compatible is an Advantech-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-80 multi-vendor 10GBASE-ZR transceiver. It ships with Advantech-recognized EEPROM so the module identifies cleanly on Advantech industrial Ethernet switches. The Advantech SFP-XSM-LC-80K is a 10GBASE-ZR SFP+ optic operating at 1550 nm across 80 km of single-mode fiber, and Advantech rates the part for the commercial 0 to 70 degrees C range, which matches the EdgeOptic build exactly, so there is no temperature-grade mismatch between the OEM part and this compatible.
The optical path pairs a 1550 nm EML transmitter with an APD receiver across a 23 dB link budget, which is the loss allocation that carries the signal over the full 80 km span on G.652 single-mode fiber. Transmit power runs from 0 to +5 dBm, receiver sensitivity is better than −24 dBm, and chromatic dispersion tolerance is 1600 ps/nm.
