This EDGE compatible module matches the original specifications with EEPROM coded for Nokia SR OS recognition. It operates over duplex single-mode fiber at four LAN-WDM wavelengths (1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58, and 1309.14 nm), reaching up to 40 km with host FEC or 30 km without FEC.

The module uses EML transmitters and APD (Avalanche Photodiode) receivers, carrying four lanes at 25.78125 Gbps each for an aggregate 103.125 Gbps line rate. The APD receiver architecture provides the sensitivity needed for 40 km reach within the QSFP28 power envelope. DDM/DOM provides real-time readings of TX/RX optical power, laser bias current, temperature, and supply voltage. Maximum power consumption is 4.5 W from a single 3.3 V supply.
