3FE62600DA is Nokia's (formerly Alcatel-Lucent) part number for a 10G bidirectional SFP+ transceiver used as an NNI uplink module in ISAM FTTx platforms. EdgeOptic's compatible replacement is built on our BIDI-10G-SFP-10A platform, a single-fiber 10G BiDi SFP+ with Tx 1270 nm / Rx 1330 nm wavelength assignment.
This is the A-side module of a BiDi pair. It transmits at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm over a single strand of ITU-T G.652 single-mode fiber through a simplex LC/UPC connector. The companion B-side module (Nokia 3FE62600DB or equivalent) transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm. Both A-side and B-side modules must be deployed at opposite ends of the link for a functional connection. Mixing two A-side or two B-side modules on the same fiber will not establish a link.
Nokia deploys the 3FE62600DA in ISAM 7360 FX series and 7342 FTTU chassis as 10G NNI uplinks from OLT line cards to the aggregation or metro Ethernet network. In FTTx deployments where fiber count is limited between the central office and remote cabinet, BiDi optics halve the fiber requirement compared to standard duplex 10GBASE-LR modules — a significant advantage in brownfield FTTH rollouts where existing duct infrastructure limits available fiber pairs.
The EdgeOptic module is EEPROM-coded for Nokia ISAM platforms. Nokia's ISAM software validates transceiver identity through EEPROM vendor and part number fields, and the EdgeOptic compatible passes this validation without CLI overrides or license changes. The module appears correctly in Nokia's element management system and supports all standard monitoring and alarm functions.
DDM per SFF-8472 reports transmit power, receive power, temperature, laser bias current, and supply voltage. On ISAM platforms, these diagnostic values are accessible through the CLI and are polled by Nokia's network management tools for threshold-based alarming. Monitoring receive power on BiDi links is especially important because a single-fiber fault affects both directions simultaneously.
