NOKIA (Alcatel) compatible 3HE06485AA Description

EdgeOptic's 3HE06485AA compatible is a Nokia (Alcatel-Lucent)-coded version of the EdgeOptic 40G-QSFP-10 multi-vendor 40GBASE-LR4 transceiver. It carries 40Gb/s over 10 km of single-mode fiber using four CWDM lanes at 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm, presented on a duplex LC interface. A Nokia-recognized EEPROM lets Nokia 7750 SR and 7250 IXR ports identify and enable the module without manual overrides.

Each lane runs a DFB laser at a launch power of −6 to +3 dBm into a PIN-photodiode receiver rated to −12.6 dBm sensitivity and a +3 dBm overload point. That pairing yields a 6.6 dB link budget over the four-channel CWDM grid. NRZ modulation handles a serviced rate up to 44.8 Gbps. Digital diagnostics expose temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit power and receive power per the SFF-8436 management interface. Operating temperature spans 0 to 70 °C.

On Nokia 7750 SR service-router ports that carry OTN client traffic, the module supports OTU3 at 43.01 Gbps and OTU3e2 at 44.58 Gbps alongside 40GbE, plus STM-256 at 39.81 Gbps for SDH applications. OTN client support depends on the MDA and port configuration on each platform, so verify the rate against your Nokia transceiver compatibility guide before commissioning the span.

The module meets IEEE 802.3ba Clause 87, INF-8438i and the SFF-8436 QSFP+ MSA, matching the Nokia 3HE06485AA optical specification. Backed by 15+ years of EdgeOptic compatibility engineering across vendor optical platforms. Ships next business day from EU stock with a lifetime warranty. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 3HE06485AA compatible support OTU3 on the Nokia 7750 SR?

Yes. On OTN-capable Nokia 7750 SR ports the module carries OTU3 at 43.01 Gbps in addition to 40GbE, with OTU3e2 at 44.58 Gbps also available. OTN client framing is enabled per line card and port, so confirm OTU3 is supported on your specific MDA and port configuration against the Nokia transceiver compatibility guide before deployment.
