The underlying hardware spans a 10.31 to 25.78 Gbps data-rate range; the supported Ethernet application is 25G Ethernet (25.78 Gbps).
Each end uses an 850nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver over OM3 multimode fiber, reaching up to 100m. Optics are factory-terminated inside the SFP28 housings, so there are no exposed fiber connectors to clean or damage during installation.
