Our EDGEOPTIC 400G-AOC-QSFP-DD-4xQSFP56 is a multi-vendor compatible 400G active optical breakout cable designed for high-performance 400 Gigabit Ethernet, 100 Gigabit Ethernet, and InfiniBand environments requiring reliable short-reach optical connectivity. The cable features a breakout 1-to-4 configuration with a QSFP-DD connector on one end and four QSFP56 connectors on the other, enabling efficient 400G to 4×100G connectivity for modern data center, cloud, AI, and high-performance computing infrastructures.
The cable supports multi-rate operation from 106.25 to 425 Gbps, allowing a single 400G QSFP-DD port to be divided into four independent 100G links. It supports 400G Ethernet operation at up to 425 Gbps on the QSFP-DD side and 100G Ethernet connectivity through each QSFP56 branch. The cable also supports InfiniBand EDR and NDR environments, making it suitable for GPU clusters, distributed computing, and high-bandwidth low-latency fabrics.
The 400G-AOC-QSFP-DD-4xQSFP56 operates at an 850 nm wavelength over multimode fiber (MMF) and supports distances up to 10 meters using OM3 fiber infrastructure. The integrated active optical design provides improved signal integrity and immunity to electromagnetic interference while maintaining lightweight and flexible cable construction for easier routing and improved airflow in dense rack deployments.
