Arista compatible SFP-1G-SX Description
EdgeOptic's SFP-1G-SX compatible is an Arista-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1.25G-SFP-550D multi-vendor 1000BASE-SX transceiver. It runs Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps (IEEE 802.3z) and 1G Fibre Channel SW at 1.0625 Gbps over duplex multimode fiber, with an 850nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver.
A 7.5 dB optical budget carries the link 550m over OM2 multimode fiber (50/125, 500 MHz·km) and 275m over OM1 (62.5/125). The module uses a duplex LC/UPC interface and supports DDM/DOM diagnostics for live monitoring of optical power, bias current, and temperature. It operates over the commercial 0 to 70°C range, built to the INF-8074i SFP MSA, +3.3V supply, CE/RoHS, Class 1 laser safety.
SFP-1G-SX is Arista's own ordering code for this 1G SX SFP. EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM with Arista-recognized data so the module identifies correctly on the host.
