AFCT-91FRDDZ is Avago's 400GBASE-FR4 QSFP-DD -- now under Broadcom Inc. after the 2016 acquisition. The AFCT- prefix originates from Avago's fiber optic product line and remains the primary search term among engineers. EdgeOptic's compatible matches the original module's specifications.
Four CWDM wavelengths (1271/1291/1311/1331 nm), EML transmitters, PIN receivers. PAM4 modulation, 106.25 Gbps per lane, 400G aggregate throughput. LC duplex connector over OS2 single-mode fiber, 2 km maximum reach. Budget: 4.0 dB (TX -3.3 to +3.5 dBm, RX -7.3 dBm). DOM supported for real-time optical monitoring. Important clarification: some third-party listings incorrectly claim the AFCT-91FRDDZ uses MTP/MPO connectors. This is wrong -- it's FR4, LC duplex.
