EdgeOptic's 10G-SFPP-ER compatible is a Brocade/Ruckus-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-40 multi-vendor 10GBASE-ER SFP+ transceiver. It carries Brocade-recognized EEPROM, so Brocade and Ruckus ICX and VDX platforms identify the module as a supported part and bring the port up without manual overrides. One universal 10GBASE-ER design serves multiple vendor codes across the EdgeOptic catalog; this listing is the Brocade/Ruckus build of it.
The module operates at 1550 nm over duplex single-mode fiber and reaches 40 km on a 15 dB link budget. Transmit power runs between −1 dBm and +4 dBm, receiver sensitivity is rated at −16 dBm, and receiver overload sits at 0 dBm. Chromatic dispersion tolerance spans 800 to 1000 ps/nm, which keeps the link inside spec over standard G.652 single-mode plant at the rated reach. Termination is a duplex LC/UPC interface.
Protocol support covers 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet, matching the Ethernet switching role of Brocade and Ruckus ICX campus and VDX data-center platforms. The transceiver runs from a single +3.3 V supply across a commercial 0 to 70 °C operating range. Digital optical monitoring is supported per SFF-8472.
