Brocade compatible 10G-SFPP-ZR Description
EdgeOptic's 10G-SFPP-ZR compatible is a Brocade (Ruckus)-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-80 multi-vendor 10GBASE-ZR transceiver. It carries the same optical build as the OEM 10G-SFPP-ZR: an SFP+ form factor with a duplex LC connector, single-mode fiber operation at a 1550 nm nominal wavelength, and a 23 dB link budget that covers spans up to 80 km. The transmitter is an EML laser and the receiver is an APD photodiode, with TX output between 0 and +5 dBm and RX sensitivity better than −24 dBm. Chromatic dispersion tolerance is rated at 1600 ps/nm, which is what keeps the signal clean across long single-mode runs at this wavelength.
On the host side this module reports through DOM/DDM, so real-time readings for optical TX power, RX power, temperature, bias current, and supply voltage are available for monitoring. It runs on a single +3.3V supply and is built to the standard 0 to 70 °C temperature range. As a 10GBASE-ZR optic, it carries 10G Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet traffic, which aligns with the Ethernet switching application of Ruckus ICX platforms. ZR optics launch at higher power than shorter-reach SFP+ parts, so on links well inside the 80 km design reach add an in-line attenuator to keep the receiver clear of overload. Note that the 10G-SFPP-ZR is the SFP+ form factor; SFP+ and XFP cages are not interchangeable, so confirm the cage type on the host before ordering.
