EdgeOptic's E100G-QSFP28-CWDM4-2KM compatible is an Extreme Networks-coded CWDM4 QSFP28 version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-2.1 multi-vendor 100G CWDM4 2km transceiver. E100G-QSFP28-CWDM4-2KM is the Extreme Networks ordering code for the 2 km CWDM4 QSFP28 reach class on the Brocade-derived data-center switching line, supplied for QSFP28 ports across the SLX and VDX chassis.

The module runs four CWDM channels on the 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm wavelength plan defined by the CWDM4 MSA and ITU-T G.694.2, with NRZ modulation across each lane. Output uses a duplex LC connector and supports 2 km links over G.652 single-mode fibre. The optical front end uses DML transmitters and PIN receivers, with host-side FEC supported per the CWDM4 MSA Technical Specification. Operating temperature spans the commercial 0 to 70 °C range.
