Check Point compatible CPAC-TR-100SR-D Description
EdgeOptic's CPAC-TR-100SR-D compatible is a Check Point-coded 100GBASE-SR4 version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-100 multi-vendor QSFP28 transceiver, programmed with Check Point-recognized EEPROM so Quantum Force gateways inventory the module under the canonical Check Point ordering code. One universal short-reach optic shipped under the vendor encoding the host expects.
Optical specifications: 100GBASE-SR4 per IEEE 802.3bm Clause 95, four parallel 25 Gb/s NRZ lanes at 850 nm VCSEL transmit, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm per lane, 1.9 dB average link budget. Reach is 100 m over OM4 and 70 m over OM3 multimode fiber. The optical interface is an MTP/MPO-12 receptacle using 8 of 12 fibers in parallel, four transmit and four receive.
Host and protocol scope: 100 Gigabit Ethernet only. The module does not carry Fibre Channel, OTU4, or SONET/SDH framing. The MPO port on the transceiver is female (no pins); the patch cord is pinned (male), with Type B polarity for transceiver-to-transceiver links. Power consumption is 3.5 W typical, commercial operating range 0 to 70 °C, and DOM diagnostics are exposed via the standard QSFP28 two-wire interface so the gateway can poll temperature, voltage, bias, and per-lane optical power.
Platform fit: works on Check Point Quantum Force security gateway appliances that accept the CPAC-TR-100SR-D for 100 Gigabit Ethernet fiber uplinks, per the Check Point Appliance Accessories Guide. Verify the specific Quantum Force model and Gaia software release against Check Point's accessories guide before deployment to confirm the chassis cage and port type accept this part.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between CPAC-TR-100SR and CPAC-TR-100SR-D?
CPAC-TR-100SR-D is the current Check Point ordering code for the 100GBASE-SR4 QSFP28 short-range optic listed in the Check Point Appliance Accessories Guide; the bare CPAC-TR-100SR designation also appears in some listings and older references. For confirmation against the exact Check Point appliance and software release in the deployment, consult the current Check Point Appliance Accessories Guide.
