EdgeOptic's XCVR-S10V31 compatible is a Ciena-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. It is a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optic per IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52, transmitting at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber with double LC/UPC connectors and reaching up to 10 km. The EEPROM is programmed with Ciena vendor identification, so the module registers with Ena (enabled) status on Ciena platforms with SFP+ ports rather than raising the UCTF uncertified-transceiver alarm seen with uncoded optics.
