In Ciena's transceiver naming the XCVR-V prefix designates a 25G SFP28 optic, distinct from the XCVR-S 10G SFP+ and XCVR-Q 100G QSFP28 families, so the part should not be confused with those other Ciena lines.
The module transmits and receives at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber with a pair of LC connectors, reaching 10 km. It operates at either 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps) or 25G Ethernet (25.78 Gbps) per IEEE 802.3cc.
