Cisco compatible SFP-10G-LR Description
The EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 is a compatible replacement for the Cisco SFP-10G-LR 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver. It provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber at 1310nm, reaching up to 10km with a duplex LC connector. This module is Cisco EEPROM coded and does not require the "service unsupported-transceiver" CLI command.
The transceiver operates at 10.3125 Gbps, supporting 10GBASE-LR (IEEE 802.3ae). It uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter paired with a PIN photodiode receiver, with a minimum link budget of 6dB over standard G.652 single-mode fiber.
This module is compatible with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Meraki MS series switches and routers with SFP+ ports. The Cisco-coded EEPROM is recognized natively without CLI overrides.
SFP-10G-LR is Cisco's standard 10GBASE-LR part number. SFP-10G-LR= (with the equals sign) is the separately orderable spare. Both refer to the same module.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) is supported per SFF-8472. The module reports TX/RX optical power, temperature, laser bias current, and supply voltage in real time. CE/RoHS certified, commercial temperature range (0 to 70C).
