# Product Description

    The Cisco Compatible QSFP-100G-CU1M 100G Passive Twinax Cable is intended for use with Cisco platforms with total interconnection lengths of up to 1 meter. This Passive 100G Twinax Cable is made up of passive copper cable rated by AWG (American Wire Gauge) with number 26 representing the resistance of copper cable that is permanently linked to MSA-compatible QSFP28 transceiver assemblies at each end of the cable, delivering consistent link length. Passive Twinax cables do not have active electronic components like active copper cables or optical lasers like AOC cables, making them a very cost-effective method for short-distance interconnections. The Cisco-compatible QSFP-100G-CU1M 100G Passive Twinax cable supports multi-rate communication between 96.97 and 112.2 Gbps for applications such as 100G Ethernet (100.125Gbps) and other high-speed networks. The most common applications for Cisco-compatible QSFP-100G-CU1M are cost-effective close-range interconnections within telecom operators or data center equipment rooms, interconnecting LAN or SAN applications with speeds up to 100G.
