# Product Description

    The Cisco compatible QSFP-H40G-CU3M 40G Twinax cable is intended for use with Cisco platforms with total interconnection lengths of up to 3 meter. This Cisco 40G Twinax Cable is made up of passive copper cable rated by AWG (American Wire Gauge) with number 30 representing resistance of copper cable that is permanently linked to MSA compatible QSFP+ transceiver assemblies at each end of the cable, delivering consistent link length. Passive Twinax cables do not have active electronic components like active copper cables or optical lasers like AOC cables, making them a very cost-effective method for short-distance interconnections. The Cisco 40G QSFP compatibility Passive Twinax cable QSFP-H40G-CU3M supports multi-rate communication between 2.125 and 41.25 Gbps for applications such as 40G Ethernet (41.25 Gbps) and other high-speed networks. The most common applications for Cisco 40G Twinax cable are cost-effective close-range interconnections within telecom operator or data center equipment rooms, interconnecting LAN or SAN applications with speeds up to 40G.
