EdgeOptic's GLC-LH-SMD compatible is a Cisco-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1.25G-SFP-10D multi-vendor single-mode Gigabit Ethernet SFP transceiver. It uses a 1310 nm FP laser transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver over a duplex LC/UPC connector, single-mode fiber only. Reach is 10 km with a 13 dB average link budget. TX output ranges from -9 to 3 dBm, RX sensitivity is -22 dBm and RX overload is -3 dBm.
Supported line rate spans 1.063 to 1.25 Gbps, covering Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) and 1G Fibre Channel (1.0625 Gbps) applications on compatible Cisco host ports. The 1310 nm transmitter operates across a 100 nm band (1260 to 1360 nm), with chromatic dispersion between 70 and 100 ps/nm across the fiber link. This SFP is built for single-mode fiber only; it does not support multimode fiber or mode-conditioning patch cords.
