The Cisco Meraki compatible MA-CBL-TA-3M 10G Passive Twinax Cable operates over 3 meter of copper cable. A Cisco Meraki compliant SFP+ transceiver assembly is installed at each end of the 10G passive twinax cable. Passive Twinax cables differ from Active Twinax cables in that they do not offer electrical transmission of signal amplification during regeneration. Passive twinax cables does not have active electronic components if compared to active copper cables therefore they are cheaper than active copper cables. MA-CBL-TA-3M 10G Passive Twinax cable supports multi-rate communication between 1.0625 and 10.52 Gbps for applications such as 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet, and other high-speed networks. Most popular applications of 10G Passive Twinax Cables are cost effective close range interconnections within equipment room of telecom operators or data centers, interconnecting LAN or SAN applications with speeds up to 10G. This cable is designed to be compatible with Cisco Meraki switches MS125, MS225, MS250, MS350, MS355, MS390, MS410, and MS425.
