Cisco compatible ONS-SC+-10G-LR-C Description
EdgeOptic's ONS-SC+-10G-LR-C compatible is a Cisco-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. ONS-SC+-10G-LR-C is Cisco's ordering code for a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ at 1310 nm, 10 km over single-mode fiber, duplex LC, with DOM. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432). EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM for Cisco host recognition, so the module reports correctly on Cisco platforms that list ONS-SC+-10G-LR-C.
Optics are 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber with LC termination, and a 6 dB link budget covers 10 km. The DFB transmitter is specified from −8.2 to 0.5 dBm; the PIN photodiode receiver reaches −14.5 dBm sensitivity and takes up to 0 dBm at overload. SFF-8472 diagnostics report TX and RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and bias current to the host.
