EdgeOptic's ZXS-Q8L-4ZZZZ-00 compatible is a Coriant-coded 100GBASE-LR4 QSFP28 transceiver, built on the same 100G-QSFP28-10 hardware platform we use across the LR4 family. Coriant assigned this part number to the standard 100G LR4 client optic that was shipped with its long-haul and metro transport gear before the company was acquired by Infinera (deal closed October 1, 2018). Legacy Coriant platforms continue to operate under Infinera support, and ZXS-Q8L-4ZZZZ-00 remains a live ordering reference for spare-stocking those installations.

Optically the module conforms to IEEE 802.3ba Clause 88. An EML laser array generates four LAN WDM channels at 1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58 and 1309.14 nm; an internal optical multiplexer combines them onto a single duplex single-mode fiber pair, and a PIN photodiode array recovers the wavelengths at the far end. Each lane carries 25.78125 Gbps NRZ for an aggregate line rate of 103.125 Gbps, which delivers 100 Gbps of net payload after 64B/66B encoding.
