EdgeOptic's DEM-311GT compatible is a D-Link-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1.25G-SFP-550D multi-vendor 1000BASE-SX transceiver. It runs Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps (IEEE 802.3z) and 1G Fibre Channel SW at 1.0625 Gbps over duplex multimode fiber, using an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver.
A 7.5 dB optical budget carries the link 550 m over OM2 multimode fiber (50/125, 500 MHz·km) and 275 m over OM1 (62.5/125). Transmit power starts at -9.5 dBm minimum and receiver sensitivity is better than -17 dBm. The module uses a duplex LC/UPC interface and supports DDM/DOM diagnostics for live readout of optical power, laser bias current, and temperature. It operates across the 0 to 70°C standard temperature range, built to the INF-8074i SFP MSA on a +3.3V supply, with CE/RoHS certification and Class 1 laser safety.
