D-link compatible DEM-432XT Description

The EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 is a compatible replacement for the D-Link DEM-432XT 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver. It provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber at 1310nm, reaching up to 10km with a duplex LC connector. D-Link EEPROM coded for plug-and-play operation.

The transceiver operates at 10.3125 Gbps, supporting 10GBASE-LR per IEEE 802.3ae. It uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter paired with a PIN photodiode receiver, with a minimum link budget of 6dB over standard G.652 single-mode fiber. Dual-rate operation at 1G Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) is also supported on ports that allow rate negotiation.

This module is compatible with D-Link DGS-1510, DGS-3420, DGS-3620 managed switches and DXS-1100, DXS-1210, DXS-3600 10G switches. Any D-Link platform with an SFP+ port accepts this module. D-Link does not hard-lock third-party optics.

The OEM DEM-432XT does not include Digital Diagnostic Monitoring. D-Link sells the DEM-432XT-DD as the DDM-enabled variant. The EdgeOptic replacement includes DDM as standard, providing real-time TX/RX optical power, temperature, bias current, and voltage readings regardless of which OEM SKU it replaces.

DDM is supported per SFF-8472. CE/RoHS certified, commercial temperature range (0 to 70 °C).
