EdgeOptic's SFP-10G-TDWDM compatible is a Dell-coded tunable 10G DWDM SFP+ for Dell EMC switches and legacy Dell Force10 transport platforms. Dell (formerly Dell Force10, following Dell's August 2011 acquisition of Force10 Networks) continues to use SFP-10G-TDWDM as the tunable C-Band SKU, and this module ships with EEPROM data programmed to match it so the host switch provisions the port as a recognized Dell pluggable.
Optical interface: tunable laser steps the ITU 50 GHz C-Band grid across Channels 17 to 61, covering 1528.38 nm to 1564.68 nm (89 channels). Launch power −1 dBm to +4 dBm, receiver sensitivity −23 dBm, receiver overload −6 dBm, 23 dB optical link budget for 80 km duplex single-mode fiber on LC connectors. Dispersion tolerance 1600 ps/nm. Monolithic MZM Tunable TOSA transmitter, APD photodiode receiver. Multi-rate from 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps covers 10GE, 8G/10G Fibre Channel, STM-64, OTU2, OTU2e, OTU2f, OTU1e, OTU1f, ODU2, and ODU2e. DOM/DDM telemetry over I²C, 0 to 70 °C operating range, CE/RoHS, Class 1 laser, SFF-8431 SFP+ MSA mechanical.
Dell host context: the SFP+ footprint and full C-Band tunable optics align with Dell EMC Z-series and S-series data-center switches and the legacy Force10 S-series and Z-series transport line.
