Edgecore Networks compatible ET5402-LR Description
EdgeOptic's ET5402-LR compatible is an Edgecore Networks-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. ET5402-LR is Edgecore Networks' ordering code for a 1310 nm single-mode 10 km 10GBASE-LR SFP+ on a duplex LC interface. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432). EdgeOptic programs the EEPROM for Edgecore host recognition, so the module reports correctly on Edgecore switches that accept 10G SFP+ optics.
A DFB laser drives the 1310 nm output between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm across duplex single-mode fiber terminated in an LC connector. A 6 dB link budget covers the 10 km reach. On the receive side, a PIN photodiode handles input from −14.5 dBm sensitivity up to 0 dBm overload. SFF-8472 digital diagnostics expose TX power, RX power, case temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current.
Line rate spans 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps, covering 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps), and STM-64 (9.95 Gbps); the host port sets the active rate. The module is hot-pluggable and runs from a single +3.3 V supply over a 0 to 70 °C commercial case range.
