EdgeOptic's ET7402-LR4 compatible is an Edgecore Networks-coded 100GBASE-LR4 QSFP28 transceiver built on the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-10 platform. The compatible carries Edgecore-recognized EEPROM identifiers so the host switch surfaces the expected ordering code in management telemetry, and the module slots into a standard QSFP28 cage with the same insertion, hot-swap, and DDM behavior as the OEM module.

The optical interface follows IEEE 802.3ba Clause 88 100GBASE-LR4. Four 25.78 Gbps NRZ lanes ride the LAN WDM grid at 1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58, and 1309.14 nm, then multiplex onto a single LC duplex pair of single-mode fiber. The 6.3 dB optical path loss budget supports a full 10 km reach on G.652 SMF. Power dissipation stays at 3.5 W or less on a single 3.3 V supply, the operating temperature window is 0 to 70 C commercial, and the module reports DDM telemetry per SFF-8636 for tx power, rx power, bias current, supply voltage, and case temperature. Class 1 laser safety, RoHS compliance, and CE marking apply.
