Emulex compatible OC10-LR-OPT-1 Description
EdgeOptic's OC10-LR-OPT-1 compatible is an Emulex-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. OC10-LR-OPT-1 is Emulex's ordering code for a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ running 1310 nm over single-mode fiber to 10 km on a duplex LC interface. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432). EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM for Emulex host recognition, so the module reports correctly on Emulex adapters that accept 10G SFP+ optics.
The optical path is 1310 nm on duplex single-mode fiber with an LC interface, rated for 10 km with a 6 dB link budget. Launch power sits between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm out of a DFB laser. Receive sensitivity is −14.5 dBm on a PIN photodiode, with 0 dBm overload at the top of the range. SFF-8472 digital diagnostics stream TX power, RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current.
Rate coverage runs 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps, taking in 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps), and STM-64 (9.95 Gbps); the host sets which rate is active. The module runs from a single +3.3 V supply, is hot-pluggable, and holds a 0 to 70 °C commercial case range.
