EdgeOptic's RDH90120/42009 compatible is an Ericsson-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1.25G-SFP-550D multi-vendor 1000BASE-SX transceiver. It runs Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps (IEEE 802.3z) and 1G Fibre Channel SW at 1.0625 Gbps over duplex multimode fiber, with an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver.
A 7.5 dB optical budget carries the link 550 m over OM2 multimode fiber (50/125, 500 MHz·km) and 275 m over OM1 (62.5/125). Transmit power is -9.5 dBm minimum, receiver sensitivity is -17 dBm, and the receiver overloads at -3 dBm.
