Extreme compatible AA1404001-E6 Description
EdgeOptic's AA1404001-E6 compatible is an Avaya-coded version of the EdgeOptic 40G-QSFP-10 multi-vendor 40GBASE-LR4 transceiver. It carries 40Gb/s Ethernet over 10 km of single-mode fiber using four CWDM lanes at 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm on a duplex LC connector. An Avaya-recognized EEPROM lets Avaya ERS and VSP switch ports detect and enable the module.
The transmitter uses a DFB laser at a per-lane launch power of −6 to +3 dBm. The PIN-photodiode receiver holds a sensitivity of −12.6 dBm per lane and a +3 dBm overload point, giving a 6.6 dB link budget across the four CWDM lanes. NRZ modulation carries the 41.25 Gbps 40GbE line rate (four lanes of 10.3125 Gbps). DOM telemetry reports temperature, supply voltage, laser bias, transmit power and receive power over the I2C interface. Operating temperature spans 0 to 70 °C.
Built to IEEE 802.3ba Clause 87, the QSFP+ MSA and SFF-8436, the module matches the Avaya AA1404001-E6 optical specification for Avaya ERS and VSP campus and enterprise Ethernet switching. Compatible with Avaya ERS and VSP series switches; verify against your platform transceiver list before deployment.
