EdgeOptic's F5-UPG-VEL-QSFP+LR4 compatible is an F5-coded version of the EdgeOptic 40G-QSFP-10 multi-vendor 40GBASE-LR4 transceiver. The VEL prefix designates the VELOS field-upgrade channel, and F5 also lists this part as OPT-0030. It is a QSFP+ module for 40 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber at distances up to 10 km, coded with F5-recognized EEPROM identifiers so it is accepted on VELOS BX110 blade QSFP+ ports.
The module carries 40G Ethernet at 41.25 Gbps across four NRZ lanes on a CWDM4 grid at 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm.
