FTCD4313E1PCL is the first-generation (E1) 400GBASE-FR4 QSFP-DD from Finisar's FTCD4313 family -- now under Coherent after the Finisar > II-VI > Coherent acquisitions. EdgeOptic's compatible matches this module exactly. Don't confuse it with the second-gen FTCD4313E2PCL -- different internal design, same optical output.
Two generations exist in the FTCD4313 family. E1PCL is first-gen, the FTCD4313E2PCL is second-gen. Same 400GBASE-FR4 optical standard -- same CWDM wavelengths, same 2 km reach, same LC duplex connector. The E2 brought improved power efficiency and updated internal electronics, but optical performance is identical. Both PCL variants are commercial temp (0 to 70 C). When replacing an installed E1PCL, the E1 compatible is the exact match. No reason to move to E2 unless platform firmware specifically requires the newer generation.
Four CWDM wavelengths (1271/1291/1311/1331 nm), EML lasers, PIN receiver. PAM4 at 106.25 Gbps per lane, 400G aggregate throughput. LC duplex over OS2 single-mode fiber, 2 km maximum reach.
