Finisar compatible FTCD4313E2PCL Description

FTCD4313E2PCL is the second-generation (E2) 400GBASE-FR4 QSFP-DD from Finisar's FTCD4313 family -- now under Coherent after the Finisar > II-VI > Coherent acquisition chain. EdgeOptic's compatible matches this OEM module's optical and electrical interface for a direct drop-in replacement.

Finisar split the FTCD4313 into two generations and two temperature grades. E2PCL is second-gen, commercial temp (0 to 70 C). PCL = commercial, PXL = extended temperature (-5 to 85 C). The first-gen E1PCL uses the same 400G FR4 optical standard but may differ in power draw and internal DSP design. Don't swap part numbers between generations -- the E2 variant matters for inventory tracking even though optical output is identical. When replacing an installed FTCD4313E2PCL, order the E2 specifically.

Four CWDM wavelengths -- 1271, 1291, 1311, 1331 nm -- EML lasers, PIN receivers. PAM4 at 106.25 Gbps per lane, 400G aggregate. LC duplex into OS2 single-mode, 2 km reach, 4.0 dB link budget. TX -3.3 to +3.5 dBm, RX sensitivity -7.3 dBm. Under 11W. KP4 FEC (RS(544,514)) required on the host side. DOM through I2C per CMIS 4.0 provides per-lane visibility into optical power levels. Finisar was acquired by II-VI in 2019; II-VI rebranded to Coherent in 2023. OEM FTCD4313E2PCL modules can be difficult to source -- lead times through Coherent distribution vary and pricing tends to run higher than under the original Finisar name.
