EdgeOptic's FTLC2151SDPL compatible is a Finisar-coded QSFP28 transceiver for 100GBASE-ER4 Lite reach over single-mode fiber, with OTU4 dual-rate support on the same optics. The module covers 40 km of duplex SMF using LAN-WDM wavelengths 1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58, and 1309.14 nm, terminated on an LC duplex connector.
The line rate envelope spans 103.125 Gbps for 100G Ethernet and 111.81 Gbps for OTU4 (G.709) transport, so the same FTLC2151SDPL drops into either a 100GE host port or an OTN line card carrying OTU4 traffic. This is the differentiator for the S-suffix Finisar variant: the FTLC2151RDPL R-suffix sibling is 100GE-only, while the SDPL adds OTU4 transport on the identical 40 km LAN-WDM optics.
Optical link budget is 22 dB with host FEC and 18 dB without FEC. Tx is an EML laser per LAN-WDM lane; Rx is an APD photodetector chosen for the ER reach class. DDM/DOM telemetry is supported per SFF-8636, surfacing per-lane temperature, voltage, bias current, Tx power, and Rx power for fault isolation. Operating temperature is 0 to 70 °C commercial, with 4.5 W maximum power on +3.3 V supply.
