Finisar compatible FTLC9558REPM Description

EdgeOptic's FTLC9558REPM compatible is a Finisar-coded 100GBASE-SR4 version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-100 multi-vendor QSFP28 transceiver, programmed with Finisar-recognized EEPROM so the host port reads the module as the original FTLC9558REPM. One universal short-reach optic shipped under the vendor encoding the customer's chassis expects.

Optical specifications: 100GBASE-SR4 per IEEE 802.3bm Clause 95, four parallel 25 Gb/s NRZ lanes over multimode fiber at 850 nm VCSEL transmit, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm per lane, 1.9 dB average link budget. Reach is 100 m over OM4 and 70 m over OM3 multimode fiber. The optical interface is an MTP/MPO-12 receptacle (UPC) using 8 of 12 fibers in parallel, four transmit and four receive.

Host and protocol scope: 100 Gigabit Ethernet only. The module does not carry Fibre Channel, OTU4, or SONET/SDH framing on this EdgeOptic part. The MPO port on the transceiver is female (no pins); the patch cord is the pinned, male side, with a Type B (key-up to key-up) polarity pinout for transceiver-to-transceiver links. Power consumption is 3.5 W typical, commercial operating range 0 to 70 °C, and DOM diagnostics are exposed via the standard QSFP28 two-wire interface so the host can poll temperature, voltage, bias, and per-lane optical power in real time.
