EdgeOptic's FTLF8536P5BCX compatible is a Finisar-coded variant of the EdgeOptic 25G-SFP28-100 multi-vendor SFP28 SR transceiver. FTLF8536P5BCX is a Finisar (now Coherent Corp) ordering code in the FTLF8536P5 25GBASE-SR SFP28 family. The module is programmed with Finisar-recognized EEPROM vendor and part-number strings so hosts accepting Finisar-coded EEPROM read the optic cleanly through the standard SFP28 management interface, suitable for chassis populated with FTLF8536P5 family modules where the BCX-suffix ordering code matches the host validation list.

Optical behavior is 25GBASE-SR per IEEE 802.3by Clause 112 over duplex multi-mode fiber. Line signaling rate is 25.78125 Gbps at 25GBASE-SR; 10GBASE-SR signaling at 10.3125 Gbps per IEEE 802.3ae is supported on dual-rate SFP28 host ports. Reach is 100 m on OM4 and 70 m on OM3, within the SFP28 SerDes envelope defined by SFP28 MSA SFF-8402.

Optical path is 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, TX optical power −5 to +2.4 dBm, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm, 5.3 dB link budget, LC duplex connector. Digital diagnostics are SFF-8472 Rev 12.0 compliant, exposing per-module temperature, supply voltage, TX bias, TX power and RX power through the host's standard transceiver-diagnostics interface. Power dissipation is 0.3 W, the module is hot-swappable, and the operating temperature range is 0 to 70°C commercial.

FTLF8536P5BCX is positioned against any SFP28 host platform accepting Finisar-coded EEPROM, which covers chassis previously populated with Finisar FTLF8536P5 family modules.
