Finisar compatible FTLX1472M3BxL Description
EdgeOptic's FTLX1472M3BxL compatible is a Finisar-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. FTLX1472M3BxL is Finisar's ordering code for a multi-rate 10GBASE-LR SFP+ at 1310 nm over 10 km single-mode fiber. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432), and carries Finisar EEPROM coding so it works on platforms that accept Finisar-coded 10G SFP+ optics.
The DFB laser transmits at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber on an LC connector, reaching 10 km at a 6 dB link budget. Launch power holds between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm, and the PIN photodiode receiver is rated at −14.5 dBm sensitivity with 0 dBm overload. SFF-8472 digital optical monitoring reports TX and RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current in real time.
As a multi-rate optic, FTLX1472M3BxL carries 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps) and OC-192/STM-64 (9.95 Gbps), with the EdgeOptic module also handling Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) across a 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps range. The host port sets the active rate. A single +3.3 V supply powers the module across a 0 to 70 °C commercial case range, and it is hot-pluggable.
