EdgeOptic's 845402-B21 compatible is an HPE-coded version of the EdgeOptic 100G-PDAC-QSFP multi-vendor 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 passive DAC cable. 845402-B21 is HPE's ordering code for this 0.5m length, referenced in HPE's own product documentation for HPE Ethernet 100Gb adapters and switches with QSFP28 ports.
The cable spans a 44.8 to 112.2 Gbps data rate envelope, covering 100G Ethernet (103.125 Gbps), 4x 32G Fiber Channel (112.2 Gbps) and InfiniBand EDR (100 Gbps) on compatible host ports. Both ends terminate in QSFP28 connectors in a point-to-point configuration. AWG30 passive twinax copper construction at 0.5 meters makes this the shortest length in the 100G-PDAC-QSFP family, and as a passive cable it carries the signal without any signal boosting or regeneration circuitry between the two ends.
