HP compatible JD094B Description
The EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 is a compatible replacement for the HP JD094B (X130 10G SFP+ LC LR) 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver. It provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber at 1310nm, reaching up to 10km with a duplex LC connector. This module is EEPROM-coded for HP H3C/Comware platforms.
The transceiver operates at data rates from 1.25 to 10.3125 Gbps, supporting 10GBASE-LR (IEEE 802.3ae) and Gigabit Ethernet applications. It uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter paired with a PIN photodiode receiver, with a minimum link budget of 6dB over standard G.652 single-mode fiber.
This module is tested on HP H3C/Comware platforms including the A5500, A5800, A5820, 5900, 5120, and 12500 series switches. The transceiver EEPROM is programmed with HP-compatible vendor data for recognition on these platforms.
The JD094B is from HP's H3C/Comware product line, not the ProCurve/Aruba line. The JD094A is an older revision with the same specs. For HP ProCurve switches use J9151A, for Aruba switches use J9151E or J9151D. The H3C equivalent part number is SFP-XG-LR-SM1310.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) is supported per SFF-8472. The module reports TX/RX optical power, temperature, laser bias current, and supply voltage in real time. It is MSA-compliant per SFF-8431 and SFF-8432, CE/RoHS certified, and operates in commercial temperature range (0 to 70C).
All EdgeOptic modules ship with a lifetime warranty and are tested before dispatch. For volume pricing or project support, contact our sales team.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between JD094A and JD094B?
Both are HP H3C 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceivers with the same optical specs (1310nm, 10km, single-mode). The JD094B is the current revision. They are interchangeable on HP H3C/Comware platforms.
Is the JD094B the same as the HP X130 10G SFP+ LC LR?
Yes. "X130 10G SFP+ LC LR" is HP's product description for the JD094B. The JD094B is the ordering part number, and X130 is the product series name.
What HP switches support the JD094B?
The JD094B is supported on HP H3C/Comware platforms including the A5500, A5800, A5820, 5900, 5120, and 12500 series. It is not for HP ProCurve or Aruba switches, which use J9151A, J9151E, or J9151D depending on the platform generation.
What is the H3C part number for the JD094B?
The H3C equivalent is SFP-XG-LR-SM1310. HP used JD094B as the ordering SKU while H3C used the SFP-XG-LR-SM1310 designation. Both refer to the same 10GBASE-LR SFP+ module.
