HP compatible JL274A Description
EdgeOptic's JL274A compatible is an HPE-coded 100GBASE-SR4 version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-100 multi-vendor QSFP28 transceiver, matching the HPE Networking X150 100G QSFP28 MPO SR4 100m MM Transceiver. It carries 100 Gigabit Ethernet over four parallel 850 nm VCSEL lanes on multi-mode fiber, reaching 100 m over OM4 and 70 m over OM3 with an MTP/MPO-12 (UPC) interface. The module runs NRZ at four lanes of 25.78 Gbps and does not use FEC.
Optical specifications: 850 nm transmit, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm per lane, and a 1.9 dB average link budget. The transceiver presents a male (pinned) MPO-12 port and mates with a female (unpinned) MTP/MPO patch cord. DDM/DOM is supported for live monitoring of optical power, bias, temperature, and supply voltage. The module operates across the 0 to +70°C commercial range and draws up to 3.5 W. It conforms to IEEE 802.3bm Clause 95 and the QSFP28 MSA.
EdgeOptic codes the JL274A compatible with HPE-recognized EEPROM so it works on HPE X150 networking platforms. This is a 100 Gigabit Ethernet short-reach optic for switch-to-switch and data center uplinks; confirm the target slot against the HPE platform transceiver guide before deployment. The module is CE/RoHS certified and built to QSFP28 MSA SFF-8665.
