HP compatible R1N46A Description
EdgeOptic's R1N46A compatible is an HPE-coded version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-2.1 multi-vendor 100G CWDM4 QSFP28 transceiver. It supports 2 km links on G.652 single-mode fiber across the CWDM4 MSA wavelength grid at 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm, with four parallel lanes aggregated to a 100 Gb/s line rate over a duplex LC connection. The optical front end uses DML transmitters and PIN receivers, with NRZ modulation per CWDM4 lane and host-side FEC handled per the CWDM4 MSA Technical Specification. Digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM/DOM) is supported, reporting TX power, RX power, bias current, supply voltage and module temperature per SFF-8636, and the module operates across the 0 to 70 degrees Celsius commercial temperature range. It conforms to the QSFP28 MSA (SFF-8636 and SFF-8665), the 100G CWDM4 MSA, the 100G CLR4 Alliance specification and the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM wavelength grid.
The EdgeOptic R1N46A compatible carries the HPE EEPROM identifier, so HPE Networking host platforms that read the standard HPE transceiver identification specification recognize the module as a supported HPE-channel transceiver on QSFP28 ports compatible with CWDM4 MSA optics. The HPE R1N46A ordering code is associated with assembly number P11817-001 in HPE asset and sparing references; both designations refer to the same module across HPE parts lists.
