IBM compatible 45W2283 Description
The EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 is a compatible replacement for the IBM 45W2283 8Gb Fibre Channel Long-Wavelength SFP+. It provides FC connectivity over single-mode fiber at 1310nm, reaching up to 10km with a duplex LC connector.
The transceiver is a dual-rate FC module supporting 4.25 Gbps (4GFC) and 8.5 Gbps (8GFC). It uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter paired with an APD receiver over standard G.652 single-mode fiber.
This module is compatible with IBM SAN switches with 8Gb FC SFP+ ports.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) is supported per SFF-8472. The module reports TX/RX optical power, temperature, laser bias current, and supply voltage in real time. It is MSA-compliant per SFF-8431 and SFF-8432, CE/RoHS certified, and operates in commercial temperature range (0 to 70C).
